AACEE Presentation's Statement

The AACEE stands for association of Masonic Liberal and Adogmatic Associations from Central and Eastern Europe.

The AACEE is particularly attached to the project of the European Construction and to the European Union as such.

THE AAECE grants a quite particular importance to Central and Eastern Europe, given its particular history during the 20th century and the recent membership of its countries to the European Union. The Freemasonry and the democracy in these countries are in reconstruction and require a particular attention.

The recent history shows us how much democracy can be fragile, even short-lived.
The AACEE aims to gather together the Liberal Masonic Obediences of the Central and Eastern Europe in order to promote the Values of Democracy, the support, the solidarity and the cohesion of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe within the European Union.

The AACEE, in the spirit of the declaration of the 22th April 2001 in Budapest, has as meaning the promotion and the protection of human values in order to maintain or to restore peace between man and mankind, and especially in the European space.
The AACEE has as meaning to be the center a connection between the following projects: social, economical, cultural or humanitarian development put to application by its different members in Europe, or by the European Union itself.

For these purposes, The AACEE brings together all Liberal Masonic Obediences from Central and Eastern Europe respecting the same values and willing to participate to a common mission.

The AACEE has as principles, the defense and development of values and landmarks from which Free Masonry is the vigilant heir: especially human dignity, freedom and equality of rights for all human beings (Human Rights in the Universal Declaration of 1948) and in the European Convention of freedom and fundamental rights; absolute freedom of self-being, people's integrity, realization of moral and spiritual progress as well as social, economical, cultural and politic of the society; in particular the enhancement of democracy, the promotion of secularism (being understood as the absolute freedom of conscience, the institutional separation of state and cult) and the promotion of a Europe with a greater justice and solidarity for everyone.
